I worked for H. Jackson Brown back in the Seventies.  Since then he has become a well known author of books to live life by.  He asked me to illustrate his latest, "As Southern As It Gets".  Here are some samples.

Retirements, Anniversaries, special events, or just for fun, everyone needs a caricature

Whenever I can I visit events and festivals to draw caricatures of the guests.  I meet interesting people and some great kids. sometimes they have pets with them which is a real treat.

This is where I sat for 11 years watching the Astronauts work and play.  I managed the cameras on board and recorded the experiment video and data. It was interesting working with the International Partners all over the world from my little seat behind the big screens.  Of course, after I left they re-decorated the whole Payload Operations Room and now it looks great.

Each week the Astronauts would get an EPO procedure beamed up to them.  This was an Educational Payload Opportunity.  It would a lesson on some aspect of living on the Space Station that the Crew member would demonstrate live on-board.  The scripts were
a bit plain looking so they asked me to draw a cartoon of each to give the Crew something to look at other than words in the procedure.  It was fun to do and exciting to know my artwork would be in orbiting the Earth some 150 miles in Space going 17,500 miles an hour.

I spent 21 years working for the Space program.  First 10 I was a member of the TV Ops team.  We worked with the Astronauts to help them get the best framing for photos and video of the experiments on Space Lab.  We, then, sat on console during the flights to direct the TV operations with Houston, gather the the payload photography and video tapes on landing and sort through them for the experimenters.  The last 11 years I was a Data Management Controller for the Space Station.  I sat on console recording payload data and video for the international users.  Every once in a while I got to design mission patches.  These represented the increments when there was a crew change.

These are some of the portraits I have done.

Some

of my logo designs
These are the good people of The Musgrove Session.  We play Ol' Time Fiddle music, you know, the classics, like:  "Duck's Eyeball",  "Nail That Catfish to the Tree",  "Possum Up A Gum Stump."  That's me in the back on the bass.  We lover the music and will play to anyone who will listen.  Stay with us just a little while and your foot will start tapping to the music.  Y9u just can't help it.

This was a poster for a show I in which I performed.  I played Willy, the lead character.  This was a fun show with good people and great direction.

Here are some examples of my art:

This banner was produced for a church manager play featuring children.  I made the characters children to go with the theme.
